One day.
That's all the time Mike's coworker had to see London. One
day.
So we got up early and headed out, determined to see as much
as possible in that one day. So we started walking. First we saw Big Ben and
the Houses of Parliament.

Then we took in Westminster Abbey.

Next we hiked through the park, made friends with a pigeon
named, Handy (he was missing a toe), while eating hot dogs, and eventually
found our way to Buckingham Palace.

After a quick lunch, we started our tour of the Tower of
London. We took an hour long guided tour, then spent another two hours looking
around the place ourselves. There is a lovely view of Tower Bridge from there.

On the verge of being flat out pooped, we decided to see if
we could ride The Eye before it got dark. We took the tube back to Westminster,
then walked across the Thames to the base of The Eye. Being a Saturday the line
was super long and we knew we wouldn't be able to go for a ride before dark.

So we trudged back to the hotel. I bet we walked over five
miles in that single day, it felt like 10 miles, but I'm sure it wasn't that
much. And that wasn't the first day that I walked from morning till night.
Everyone walked everywhere there, taking a cab for anything less than two miles
would put you in the lazy category. The point of this post... if I lived in the
United Kingdom, I'd be skinny.
